Central Illinois Woodturners (CIW) is a local wood turning club affiliated with the American Association of Woodturners (AAW). Our purpose is to invite, encourage, teach, learn and promote the art of turning wood.

We have a broad range of turners in our club from beginners to members with over 30 years of experience. We have members that welcome the opportunity to mentor.

We have an extensive library containing numerous education books and DVDs that are available to our members at no cost. Twice a year we host seminars featuring a professional wood turner. These seminars are an excellent opportunity to learn through instruction and hands on training.

Our meetings are held on the second Monday of each month starting at 6:30 p.m. We alternate locations between Bloomington/Normal and Peoria.

The Bloomington/Normal meetings are January, March, May, July, September, and November. New location: They will be held at our new host Youthbuild McLean County at 360 Wylie Dr, Ste 905, Normal, IL 61761. It’s in the NW corner of the old outlet mall.

The Peoria are meetings are February, April, June, August, October, and December. These meetings are currently held at held at the Woodworker’s Shop in Pekin. The address is 13587 E Manito Rd, Pekin, IL 61554.  Please bring your own chair to meetings in Pekin.
